Where Science Meets Real-World Impact

Built to Serve Farms, Families,
& the Communities Around Us

We started as a small farm lab helping neighbors meet safety standards. Today, we’re a certified testing lab serving homes, farms, and facilities across the region with science you can trust and service that puts people first.
From One Farmer to Many
A Lab Born From the Needs of Local Farmers & Families
Clean Water Lab began when founder Lee Ewing realized his in-house testing was helping more than just his own farm. What started as a way to ensure food safety on a sprout farm quickly became something bigger. Today, that same commitment powers a trusted lab serving farms, homes, and facilities across the region.
Local People. Professional Standards.
Meet the People Behind the Results
From day one, Lee built the lab by bringing in scientifically trained professionals with real-world experience. With strong and compassionate leadership at the core, our team continues to grow. We’re committed to serving our rural communities with results that empower informed decisions.

Kevin Xiong

Laboratory Technician
Kevin graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted biochemical research related to COVID-19, which strengthened his interest in applying science to real-world challenges. He joined Clean Water Lab the same year with a desire to use his skills to serve his neighbors and contribute to public health.

Leslie Sinex

Laboratory Technician
Leslie graduated from AB-Tech in 2015 with a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. She went on to build her career in healthcare both locally and in Charleston, SC, before stepping back in 2024 when she was expecting her daughter. A Polk County native, Leslie has always valued giving back to her community, both personally and professionally. In October 2024, she joined Clean Water Lab, recognizing it as the perfect opportunity to continue her work while staying close to home, her husband, and daughter.
